Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
