Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has suffered mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
