Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable social media audience
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known supporters as she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous international courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically advised me to play and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, following the flow."
Kai will face multiple the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence exposes the sport to new audiences, especially with the next generation.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and recently launched her own apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
